Expert Dietitian
Services
At The Eatwise Clinic, we provide expert dietitian services grounded in the latest evidence-based nutrition science.
Whether you’re managing a medical condition, experiencing distressing digestive symptoms, seeking support with weight and energy, or simply wanting to improve your relationship with food, we offer personalised guidance that is practical, sustainable, and tailored to your unique needs.
Our goal is to help you achieve real results—without fads or quick fixes—so you can feel confident, nourished, and supported at every stage of your journey.
Diabetes and Cardiovascular Services
Do you need to improve your cholesterol levels?
Maybe you want to avoid diabetes?
Have you been informed you have a ‘fatty liver’?
Is your kidney health declining and you need to understand what foods are safe to eat?
We believe in providing practical strategies based on scientific research. Our team of dietitians have over 60 years of experience in all areas of nutrition. We understand that nutrition and food messages can be confusing and conflicting, especially in today’s media. We can help you understand your medical diagnosis and its relationship with food.
We fundamentally believe in you understanding why you need to make changes, not just what to change. We are not about ‘diets’. We are about nutrition counselling and education to support you in having the best opportunity to achieve your desired outcome.
Eating Disorder Dietetic Services
Eating disorders are scary and confusing. Our team of experienced eating disorder dietitians are certified by the ANZAED (Australia and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders) and by The Butterfly Foundation.
We support clients with acute and atypical anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and ARFID (Avoidant, Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). We work closely with local experienced eating disorder psychologists and GP’s to help you understand and challenge the eating disorder.
We cannot make someone give up their eating disorder, no one can. We hope to guide our patients to want to give it up themselves. We understand how destructive and exhausting eating disorders can be. How they can encapsulate everything about a person’s family, friends, work, study and entire world. We work with our clients and their support team (friends and family) through recovery. We help them to discover they are more powerful than their eating disorder.
Gastroenterology Nutritional Services
Have you been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, Crohns, or Ulcerative Colitis and not sure what nutritional changes you need to make? Have you been told to make diet changes for your fatty liver or been advised you might have a food intolerance?
There are many both medical and functional reasons our clients come to see our team of dietitians. Rather than risking internet rabbit holes or engaging with facebook support ‘groups’, how about having all your questions answered by our team of qualified and experienced dietitians. We will provide you with scientifically based advice and practical strategies to minimise your symptoms and/or improve your health outcomes. All of our adult dietitians are recognised by MONASH University as FODMAP trained dietitians.
Do you have symptoms of abdominal bloating, chronic constipation or urgent diarrhoea that you find distressing?
Have you been diagnosed with a disease by a gastroenterologist you need dietetic advice for?
Are you confused about what you should (or shouldn't) eat after an episode of diverticulitis?
Bariatric Dietetic Services
Have you struggled with your weight for a long time and are considering the possibility of weight loss surgery?
We understand how daunting this decision can be, and we can give you the guidance and support both before, during, and for years following your surgery. Do you want to get expert, scientifically supported dietary advice around what life (either immediately or long-term) would be like after surgery?
The EatWise Clinic includes a specialist bariatric dietitian service. While Bariatric Surgery is absolutely not the 'easy way out', we work closely with multiple surgeons in your area and around Sydney, supporting people through their weight loss journey. We work with surgeons who perform all kinds of bariatric surgeries including gastric by-pass, sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and mini-gastric bypass surgeries. We are empathetic to your needs and will guide you through the appropriate diet adjustments for your surgery.
Paediatric and Disability Dietetic Services
Are you having difficulty with your child’s growth?
Is your child a fussy eater?
Does your child have difficulty chewing or swallowing?
Has your child been diagnosed with food allergies or intolerances, or do you require investigation into this?
Does your child have a tube for feeding you need support to manage?
Our paediatric dietitian, Naomi Crockett, is also a qualified SOS therapist, helping kids with ‘fussy eating’ and difficult behaviours around meal times. Some kids can become very limited in the foods they accept, increasing pressure on parents and inciting some fear of nutritional adequacy or restricted choice. SOS Therapists are specifically trained to assist with challenging behaviours and gradual acceptance of new foods.
At The Eatwise Clinic, we have a particular passion for supporting kids requiring tube feeding. Our goal is to get them off the tube as quickly as possible. Alternatively, if that's not possible, we work with families to ensure the tube is as minimally invasive to family life. We also specialise in supporting families who would like to investigate the use of blended feeds rather than commercially available products.
We understand kids are not just ‘little adults’ and paediatric nutrition encompasses the entire family. We are both NDIS Registered and verified. This means for NDIS Participants, no matter which funding stream their NDIS plan is managed by (self-managed, plan managed, or NDIA managed), we can provide nutritional support and advice specifically for your child’s needs.
